"The Little Fiesta" officially opens Old Spanish Days on the steps of Santa Barbara's historic Old Mission. This event features Fiesta's traditional songs and dances: tunes of the Californios, Flamenco, Spanish classical and Mexican folklórico dances. Food is available for purchase from local vendors. Catch MTD's line 22 and ride to the show. Buses will be there waiting to take you back after the show. MTD Stop: Old Mission.

The Fiesta Historical Parade is one of the largest equestrian parades in the United States. The parade starts at the west end of Cabrillo Blvd., proceeds east along the beach, to State St., then up State St. to Sola St. Catch MTD line 5 or the Downtown Waterfront Electric Shuttle to the Grandstand, or lines 2,3,6,11,14,20,21x,22 & the Crosstown Shuttle to Downtown. County Courthouse Sunken Garden. Here is a rare opportunity to see the original Spanish California dances & songs of the 19th century. Interwoven with historic narration, the musical numbers are accompanied on replica acoustic instruments. These unique songs & dances are performed by local residents much as they would have been 150 years ago, in authentic costumes. Bring a picnic dinner and enjoy the show.
